FAQ / My alien fiance (fiancee) has already been issued a K-1 visa. Can I go to his/her country, marry him/her, and bring him/her to the Unites States with his/her K-1 visa?

No. Your fiancé (fiancée) must not be married when he/she enters U.S. on a K-1 visa. He/she has to marry you (Petitioner) in the United States. After your fiancé (fiancée) is issued a K-1 visa he/she has 6 months to enter U.S. Once your fiancé (fiancée) entered the USA, you have 90 days to get married.
