NEWS / Changes in Copies of Documents Effective July 10, 2007

The Division of Corporations, State Records and Uniform Commercial Code replaced its one-half page certification on all certified copies. The new certification page is now on a full 81/2 x 11 sheet of white paper. The new certification includes the facsimile signature of Paul LaPointe as Special Deputy Secretary of State. The seal of the Department of State is opposite his signature. In addition, plain and certified copies of documents will no longer have the backer facing out. All pages of documents will be stapled face up.
