El Centro, Calif. – Saturday morning, Border Patrol agents arrested a man wanted out of Vero Beach, Fla. who violated his $1 million bond. The warrant is out of Indian River County Sherriff’s Office for lewd and lascivious acts against a child less than 12 years of age.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., Border Patrol agents working approximately three miles west of the Calexico port of entry arrested an individual who illegally crossed into the United States.

Record checks revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant. The suspect is being held at the Imperial County Jail pending extradition to Vero Beach, Fla. for the warrant.

Since this fiscal year to date, El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents have made more than 30,000 apprehensions.
