Yuma, Ariz. – U.S. Border Patrol agents from Yuma Sector seized more than 800 pounds of marijuana as well as several weapons, cell phones, a pickup and other equipment yesterday.

Agents assigned to the Wellton Station were on line watch duties when they located several individuals northeast of Interstate 8 via a mobile surveillance system. Agents received consent, and inside the trailer they located two assault rifles, five handguns, cell phones and night vision goggles.

The marijuana, with an estimated street value of $656,800, the subjects, weapons, other equipment, and vehicle were turned over to the Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office.
