NEWS / Tarzan star Ron Ely died from heart disease – death certificate


The death certificate of Ron Ely, the star of the 1960s TV show Tarzan, list “end-stage heart disease” as his official cause of death, TMZ reports.

According to Massachusetts General Hospital, individuals with end-stage heart disease usually live between 6 and 12 months. Ely died at the home of one of his daughters in Los Alamos, California, at the age of 86.

The death certificate also indicated that Ely spent 30 years in the entertainment business. The vital record also states that his body was cremated.

In addition to appearing as the titular character in the live action Tarzan show between 1966 and 1968, Ely also starred in “Wonder Woman,” “The Love Boat,” “L. A. Law,” “Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze,” and “The Friend Who Walked the West”.
