NEWS / Indian Consulates will no longer stamp apostille documents


Indian consulates abolished the practice of stamping apostilles. The apostille is the last and final step when it comes to getting US documents ready for use in the Republic of India. This applies to all personal, business and commercial documents. In the past, business documents with apostille will be seen and stamp at the consulate. Then it was changed to require a letter from authorities in India requesting the stamp and then it was abolished altogether.
