NEWS / Tennessee Man Arrested After Attempting to Meet Minor for Sex


ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin announces, on behalf of the FBI’s Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force, the following arrest at Chatsworth, Georgia:

William Andres, 50 years of age, of Henry, Tennessee, was arrested on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, by FBI agents and task force officers after coming to the attention of undercover officers on the Internet. Andres is currently facing state charges of attempted aggravated child molestation and violation of the Computer Pornography Act after having attempted to meet with a minor child for purposes of having sex. He was met instead by FBI agents and Task Force Officers of the FBI’s Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force where he was arrested.

Andres is currently being housed at the Murray County Jail, Chatsworth, Georgia.

The public should be reminded that the above are mere allegations and that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
