NEWS / KY man forges death certificate to avoid child support payments

A Kentucky man has admitted that he forged his own death certificate to avoid paying child support. The man, a resident of Pulaski County, used a computer to hack into Hawaii’s death registry system to produce a fake death certificate for himself.

According to WKYT, 39-year-old Jesse Kipf forged his own death certificate to avoid paying child support fees of over $100,000. He was initially charged with multiple counts of computer fraud and identity theft, but some of those charges got dropped after Kipf agreed to a plea deal.

Kipf now owes over $200,000 to various government agencies across multiple states.
