NEWS / Border Patrol Agents Find Man Hidden with 450 Pound Marijuana Load

Del Rio, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Eagle Pass South Station intercepted a large load of marijuana Wednesday night.

While conducting patrol duties, agents encountered a man hiding along a known contraband trail located within the Bowles Ranch. The man was found concealed among a group of large feed sacks, the type of sacks which are routinely used for transporting narcotics. Agents arrested the subject and seized a total of nine feed sacks which contained 18 bundles of marijuana wrapped in brown packing tape.

The marijuana had a weight of more than 457 pounds with an estimated value of $366,328. The subject and contraband were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
