FAQ / How do I obtain a sales tax ID?


To obtain a sales tax ID, you must file a special form with the state department of taxation and finance before you begin operating your business. If your application is approved, your sales tax ID will be mailed to you. You cannot legally conduct business until you have received your valid sales tax ID.
